August Empties

Hello Beauties!

Here’s the rundown of all of the products I ran through for the month of August. There’s a mixture of skincare, makeup, and Haircare products. Keep reading for my full reviews and “Would I repurchase?”

Garner Fructise 48H Ultra Strong Sheer Set Breathable Hold Hairspray

Claims:

  • A breathable hold to your hairstyle without the “crunch”
  • Applies a weightless, natural finish
  • Water free and humidity resistant

I would absolutely repurchase this hairspray. Living in Florida I combat humidity 365 days a year. I use a light spray in the morning after straightening my hair just before leaving for work. It keeps the “humidity frizz” at bay and keeps my hair looking healthy and soft.

Citrine Nest Fragrance

I received this as a sample in my Augusut Sephora Play Box and I used the entire sample! It was quite unexpected, I usually go for amber or sandalwood fragrances, Burberry is my favorite. This scent was just irresistible, I would definitely add this to my perfume collection.

Leaders Insolution – 7 Wonders Face Masks

Tundra Cranberry Anti-Aging Mask

Claims:

  • Improve visible lines and wrinkles
  • Deeply hydrates skin
  • Leaves skin firm and smooth

Mediterranean Olive Brightening Mask

Claims:

  • Brightens dull and tired skin
  • Improves uneven skin tone
  • Minimizes visible dark spots

Leaders are hands down my favorite sheet masks out on the market. They’re reasonably priced, dripping in luxurious serum, and they make your skin feel AMAZEing! I buy mine from ULTA by the hand full, I always have a little stockpile on hand. I think it goes without saying that I will definitely repurchase Leadsers Sheet Masks.

Garner SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

Claims:

  • Micelles capture and lift away dirt like a magnet
  • Removes makeup
  • Cleaned skin
  • Refreshes
  • For use on all skin types

This is a new holy grail product for me, it absolutely lives up to all of its claims. It removes all makeup (even stubborn mascara!) I love the stuff. To add to it, you can find it almost everywhere: ULTA, Sephora, drugstores, grocery stores, etc. I will always have a bottle of this on hand.

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips

  • 100% Fragrance Free
  • Allergy Tested
  • Use to remove stubborn mascara, eyeliner, and long wear lip products

I think Clinique failed here, I would choose my $8 Micellar water over this makeup remover any day of the week. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, I finished my small bottle, I struggled but I used it all. I always wound up using a secondary remover after this solution. This product just doesn’t work for me.

Maybelline DreamLumi Highlightling Concealer

Claims:

To brighten, highlight and conceal the under eye area and other areas where applied.

This is a solid product from Maybelline, they have the best drug store concealers on the market, I purchased the shade Ivory. I think it worked well for my skin tone, however I don’t think there is enough concealer in the pen to warrant the price which can range anywhere from $8-$10 for .18 ounces. While I enjoyed the product, I’ve moved on and I won’t be repurchasing this concealer.

Essence Cosmetics 2-in-1 Eyeliner Pen

This one is pretty self explanatory, it s a dual ended eyeliner pen, one end is razor thin while the opposite end resembles that of a sharpie. I can count on one finger the number of times I used this eyeliner pen. I used it once, both caps were tightly placed on both ends, yet some how it completely dried out. After one use! Albeit was only $2.99, it’s not worth the hastle and this eyeliner was a huge disappointment.

That’s all I have my lovelies! What did you empty last month, any note worthy products up for repurchase?
